The handover ceremony was attended by Dr. Liu Yuyin, Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy, Professor Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman, Special Assistant to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Jafor, Director General of DGHS.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Liu reiterated China’s commitment to being a good neighbour, friend, and partner of Bangladesh.

He also said the donation reflects the implementation of key understandings between the leaders of the two countries and underscores China’s ongoing support for Bangladesh’s healthcare sector.

“China will continue to work with Bangladesh to promote public health cooperation and build a community of shared future for global health,” he added.

Officials from both countries were present at the ceremony.
