Brazil returned to the winning track with a convincing 3-0 victory over Haiti, but the five-time world champions have been hit by a setback despite the win, as winger Raphinha has suffered an injury.
The Barcelona star was forced off with a thigh injury, and subsequent medical examinations have confirmed that he will miss Brazil's upcoming FIFA World Cup match against Scotland.
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has also said it is too early to determine when Raphinha will make a full recovery.
In a statement, the CBF said: "Examinations conducted on Saturday revealed an injury to the posterior muscle of Raphinha's right thigh. He will undergo intensive treatment and rehabilitation under the supervision of the medical staff, with the aim of returning him to action as soon as possible."
Concerns arose when Raphinha left the field injured in the 40th minute, and those fears have now been confirmed. While no exact return date has been set, Brazilian media outlet Globo reports that the 29-year-old could be available again for the Round of 16.
Brazil have, however, received positive news regarding Neymar. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that the forward is expected to be available for the Scotland match.
"Neymar will train tomorrow (today)," Ancelotti said. "He will rejoin team training on Monday. I am optimistic about having him available against Scotland."
Brazil will face Scotland in their final group-stage match at 4:00 am on 25 June at Miami Stadium.
