The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Dhaka and its surrounding areas before noon today.
According to a weather bulletin issued for the six-hour period from 7:00am on Sunday, the sky may remain partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy, with temporary spells of rain or thundershowers expected in the capital.
The forecast also said winds may blow from the south and southeast at speeds of 10 to 15 kilometres per hour. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
Meanwhile, the temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 28.1 degrees Celsius at 6:00 a.m., while humidity stood at 88 percent.
The weather office also reported that the capital received 35 millimetres of rainfall over the past 24 hours.
