Injured captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz watched from the sidelines as stand-in skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and elected to bat first against Australia in the third and final One Day International at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
The match turned into a dead rubber after Bangladesh clinched the series with victories in the first two matches.
Miraz, who was struck by a Nathan Ellis bouncer in the second ODI, was ruled out with concussion, with Mahedi Hasan drafted into the playing XI as his replacement.
Shoriful Islam also came in for Nahid Rana, who was rested for the series finale.
Australia, meanwhile, backed the same XI that featured in the second ODI.
