The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has asked the interested party members to follow the procedures for taking part in the Thakurgaon-1 by-polls.
According to a schedule announced by the Election Commission, the by-election for the Thakurgaon-1 seat will be held on 29 October.
The nomination papers need to be submitted to the returning officer within 27 September, and the last date for selecting them is 29 September.
The last date for withdrawing candidacy is 7 October, and 8 October has been set for allocating symbols.
In a press release, the party requested interested ones to collect forms from its central office in the capital’s Naya Paltan area from 10am to 5pm on 15 September.
Those collecting the forms have been requested to submit them at the same place on 16 October.
Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman will hold an interview with the candidacy aspirants at his Gulshan office on 18 September.
