Chinese Ambassador met with Inspector General of Police

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen paid a courtesy call on Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam at the Police Headquarters in Dhaka Tuesday.

According to information of Police Headquarters, during the meeting the Ambassador handed over 49 computers and 49 printers to support the technical capacity of Bangladesh Police.

The IGP thanked the Chinese envoy for the generous support and described China as an important development partner of Bangladesh.

He expressed hope that cooperation between Bangladesh Police and China would continue to strengthen in the future.

Ambassador Yao Wen also requested the IGP’s assistance in ensuring the security of Chinese nationals working on various projects across the country.

The IGP assured full cooperation in this regard.

Officials from both the Chinese Embassy and Bangladesh Police were present at the meeting.
