Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar have expressed concern about the ongoing flood situation in Bangladesh.
In a message issued on Sunday, Shehbaz said, “Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life and widespread devastation caused by the severe floods and landslides in Bangladesh.”
“On behalf of the people of Pakistan, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and express our unwavering solidarity with the government and people of Bangladesh. We pray for the swift recovery of the injured and the safety of all those affected,” he added.
Meanwhile, Ishaq dar said in a separate message, “I am deeply saddened by the devastating floods and landslides in Bangladesh. My heartfelt condolences go to the families who have lost their loved ones, and my thoughts and prayers are with all those displaced and affected by this disaster.”
“I pay tribute to the courage and dedication of the rescue personnel, armed forces, medical teams, and relief workers who are working tirelessly to assist those in need,” he added.
In his message, Ishaq expressed solidarity with the government and people of Bangladesh, and prayed for the success of the ongoing rescue and relief efforts and for the safety of all those impacted.
