Ambassador of Palestine to Bangladesh Yousef SY Ramadan met State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir on Thursday and discussed the situation in Gaza, Israel’s settlement plans and bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the Palestinian ambassador congratulated the state minister on assuming office and thanked Bangladesh for its continued support for the Palestinian people and their cause.
Humaiun Kobir reaffirmed Bangladesh’s strong and unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
He also expressed deep concern over Israel’s plan to expand settlements in the E1 area of the occupied West Bank, stressing that such actions are contrary to international law and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
The two sides also discussed the situation in Gaza and ongoing bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
