Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on Saturday held a meeting with party leaders from Rangpur division as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots organisation.
The meeting began in the afternoon at the party’s political office in the capital’s Gulshan, said Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony.
Leaders from Nilphamari, Kurigram, Gaibandha and Lalmonirhat districts, as well as Rangpur district and metropolitan units, attended the meeting.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and Adviser to the Prime Minister Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was also present, among others.
