Despite Bangladesh’s team suffering a whitewash against the West Indies, opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim shone with impressive individual performances—earning a big reward in the latest ICC T20I rankings.
The ICC released its updated men’s rankings on Monday, where Tanzid climbed 20 spots to reach 17th position among batters, achieving his career-best rating of 636 points. The 24-year-old left-hander scored 61 off 48 balls in the second T20I and 89 off 62 balls in the third, showcasing remarkable form despite his team’s struggles.
Among other Bangladeshi batters, Saif Hassan slipped nine places to 29th, while Litton Das remained steady at 44th. Parvez Hossain Emon and Jaker Ali Anik also dropped slightly. India’s Abhishek Sharma continues to hold the top spot in the batting rankings.
In the bowling chart, Shak Mahedi Hasan rose six places to joint 18th, and Tanzim Hasan Sakib moved up three spots to 34th. Meanwhile, Mustafizur Rahman dropped to 12th, Rishad Hossain to 26th, and Taskin Ahmed to 40th. Varun Chakravarthy remains the top-ranked T20I bowler.
