Dealerships will be revoked within three months if any irregularities are found in the appointment of fertiliser dealers, State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam said on Wednesday.
He made the remarks after inspecting the proposed site for a bridge over the Gorai River in Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia.
The state minister noted that administrative officials were directly involved in the dealer recruitment process, which was supervised by Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) and Deputy Commissioners (DCs).
“We have specified in the allotment letters that these dealerships are issued on an entirely temporary basis under a three-month observation period,” the state minister said.
“If any allegation of irregularity is substantiated during these three months, the dealership will be cancelled, and a new dealer will be appointed.”
