US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent Christensen is currently visiting the US Department of State in Washington to discuss the significant progress made in bilateral relations between Dhaka and Washington this year.
The US Embassy in Dhaka shared a post on Facebook quoting a message from Christensen about his visit.
“Back home at the US Department of State!” Christensen said in the message, adding that he was sharing the “impressive progress” in US-Bangladesh relations this year.
He said he was also meeting senior officials, business leaders and members of the Bangladeshi diaspora to discuss how to build on the progress and maintain the momentum in bilateral ties.
During the visit, Christensen is discussing with senior State Department officials ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in trade, investment, security and other areas of mutual interest.
The ambassador’s visit comes as Bangladesh and the United States seek to further expand bilateral cooperation across economic and strategic areas.
