A new theatre troupe ‘Hunt theatre’ set to premiere their debut play “Café de Volte” at Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital this evening.Scripted by Abid Hasan, the play is directed by Diana Meriline. Thanvir Chowdhury has written the dialogue of the production.
Story summary: In the quiet town of Jinjira, where civility masks decay, one man dares to serve chaos on a silver plate. Max D’Rosario, a Bengali Christian, an extraordinarily gifted chef. At the grand opening of his restaurant Café de Volte, Max takes control of the fates of four “honourable” citizens of Jinjira Town.
Max seeks no revenge, nor does he yearn for justice. All we know is that Max’s heart howls for a crusade. In the restless tribunal that resides in our hearts, you have to bleed if you want to think. Welcome to Café de Volte. In this blood-soaked fable, survive, if you can.
