After suffering four strokes, the life of popular folk musician and Close-Up One star Rinku has changed dramatically. He has been living a quiet life at his village home since 2020.
The singer believes that his physical condition makes a return to the music industry unlikely. However, he hopes that the songs he has created over the years will continue to live on.
Recently, Rinku appeared in the travel documentary “Pother Golpo”, where he opened up about his current health condition, his musical journey, and the challenges he has faced in life.
“I have no desire to return to singing completely. Even if I wanted to, it is not possible,” he said. “I have suffered four strokes. The first few were not widely known, but after the fourth one, I realised that all hope of returning as before was gone. I have accepted this reality.”
Reflecting on the possibility of a comeback, he added, “Things will not happen the way I want. If I cannot return fully, then there is no point in returning halfway. Even if I am gone one day, the songs will remain. My only request is that my songs should not be forgotten.”
Rinku said the genuine love and support of the people in his village now give him the strength to carry on.
According to the singer, he has found true friendship among them and renewed motivation to face this difficult chapter of his life.
