Popular actress Sumaiya Shimu is making a comeback to television serials after a long break. After remaining largely away from regular acting due to personal commitments, she is now set to star in director Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Raz’s upcoming serial “Fire Ashar Golpo”.
Once a familiar face in both single-episode dramas and serials, Shimu earned widespread acclaim for her versatile acting. She recently returned to the screen with “Besura”, an episode from Nuhash Humayun’s anthology series “Dui Shaw”, which was well received by the audience.
At the time of her return, the actress said she was interested in acting regularly again, provided she found compelling stories and meaningful characters.
In “Fire Ashar Golpo”, Shimu will portray the character Rukaiya. The drama’s production company, Cinemawala Entertainment, recently unveiled the actress’s first look on social media, generating excitement among fans. However, Shimu has chosen not to reveal further details about the project or her character at this stage.
Director Raz’s recent serial Eta Amaderi Golpo received positive responses from viewers, and Fire Ashar Golpo is being produced as a continuation of that successful collaboration. Preparations for the production are currently underway, with shooting expected to begin next month. The producer will announce the names of other cast members gradually.
Throughout her career, Shimu has starred in several popular serials, including “Housefull”, “FNF”, “Lalita”, “Behind the Scene”, and “Phand O Bogar Golpo”, all of which have earned a special place among the audience.
