A weekly automobile marketplace titled ‘Super Sale Car Bazar’ will begin at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital from 4 September, aiming to open up new opportunities in the country’s automobile sector and create an effective platform connecting buyers and sellers.

The organisers announced the initiative at a press conference held at ICCB on Thursday, saying the main objective was to bring leading car and motorcycle brands, dealers, financial institutions and automobile service providers under one platform.

The marketplace will allow buyers to purchase and sell new, reconditioned and used cars and motorcycles while also learning about various services and financing facilities.

According to the organisers, although Bangladesh’s automobile market is expanding rapidly, there is a need for a regular, organised and reliable platform for buyers and sellers. ‘Super Sale Car Bazar’ will help address this need and strengthen interaction among automobile businesses, buyers and service providers.

The speakers said growing demand in the country’s automobile market had created the need for a regular and modern marketplace, describing the initiative as a timely step towards meeting that demand.

Through the platform, buyers will be able to explore and compare vehicles of different brands and models in one place, while sellers will have an opportunity to reach potential customers directly.

Automobile experts and representatives of car and motorcycle communities attending the press conference also welcomed the initiative, describing it as a promising development for the country’s automobile ecosystem.

The event is being organised by Wizard Showbiz, with ICCB as the venue partner.

Various brands, dealerships, financial institutions and automobile-related businesses will participate in the weekly event. Privately owned new, reconditioned and used cars and motorcycles will also be available for sale and purchase at special prices.

The press conference was attended by Barvida Secretary General Riaz Rahman, Fair Group Head of Group Marketing Taslim Kabir, BYD Bangladesh Head of Category Development and Marketing Imtiaz Nausher, Trust Bank PLC Vice-President and Head of Retail Banking Division Md Wahed Ibn Shahed, Chery Bangladesh Head of Sales Abu Naser Mahmud, Wizard Showbiz Chairman Md Foyez Ullah, CEO Arifuzzaman Russell and ICCB Chief Operating Officer MM Jasim Uddin, among others.

Senior officials of the organising company, representatives of various car and motorcycle communities and other stakeholders were also present.
