Two crude bombs exploded near a Shohag Paribahan counter on the main road adjacent to Malibagh Railgate in the capital on Friday afternoon.
The explosions occurred shortly after Jumma prayers, triggering panic in the area. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Commissioner (Motijheel Division) Zahid Hossain confirmed the incident, saying miscreants exploded the two crude bombs beside the Shohag Paribahan counter shortly after Jumma prayers.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify those involved, he said, adding that an investigation into the incident is underway.
