Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday called upon the students to prepare themselves to help build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh describing the new generation as the country’s future leaders.

He made the call when hosting a luncheon for a group of students, teachers, and visitors from various educational institutions, who enjoyed the parliamentary session, said PM’s Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony.

A total of 29 law students from the Canadian University of Bangladesh, 21 individuals, including underprivileged students who attended through Surabhi and their teachers, a partner organisation of the Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE), and 16 individuals, including students from the Tejgaon College Debating Society and their teachers, attended the luncheon at the VIP Cafeteria of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

During the event, the prime minister interacted with the students, inquired about their studies, and discussed various topics with them.

He emphasised that, alongside academic pursuits, students should also give importance to sports and strive to develop themselves into capable, skilled, and responsible citizens.

The students and teachers expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the prime minister for giving them the opportunity to participate in the luncheon.

As part of their visit to Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, the students learned about the activities of the Parliament Secretariat, visited the Parliament Library, took part in a photo session at the North Plaza, and observed parliamentary proceedings from the visitors’ gallery in the parliamentary chamber.
