‘Super Sale Car Bazar’, a new weekly marketplace for cars and motorcycles, opened at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital on Friday, bringing buyers and sellers together to trade vehicles under one roof.

The market, organised by Wizard Showbiz with ICCB as the venue partner, will be held every Friday, where people can buy vehicles or sell their own cars and motorcycles.

Different automobile brands, dealerships, financial institutions and other businesses related to the sector are taking part in the event.

Speaking at the opening press conference, ICCB Chief Operating Officer MM Jasim Uddin said they had long planned to organise an event that would bring together all types of vehicles from the automobile industry.

“We felt that Dhaka did not have any specific international-standard marketplace where people could find all types of vehicles, including modern and commercial ones, under one roof,” he said.

Jasim said the total area of the venue is around 150,000 square feet, while the Super Sale Car Bazar has initially started its activities across 45,000 square feet.

He said buyers and sellers began arriving soon after the gates opened in the morning.

“Brokers control many marketplaces, but there is no brokerage system here,” he added.

The organisers said the initiative was launched to meet the growing demand in the country’s automobile market and create a modern marketplace where buyers and sellers can connect directly.

One of its main attractions is the opportunity for visitors to speak directly with representatives of banks and financial institutions about auto loans, vehicle financing and other financial facilities.

They said the arrangement would make the vehicle-buying process easier, more transparent and convenient.

A large number of buyers and visitors gathered at the venue from the morning. Automobile enthusiasts were seen searching for vehicles of their choice, while customers explored cars and motorcycles of different prices and quality.

Visitor Minhajul Abedin said he came to look for a Premio, as he had been planning to buy a car for a long time.

He said the open environment, the availability of many brands under one roof, access to bank loans and the absence of brokers encouraged him to visit.

The organisers expect the Super Sale Car Bazar to soon become one of the capital’s popular automobile marketplaces for enthusiasts, buyers and sellers.
