ATM Rakibul Bassar has taken a significant step into international cricket coaching by joining a Paris-based cricket club in France as an Associate Trainer. Following his initial role, he was entrusted with the responsibility of coaching the club’s Under-15 cricket team, marking an important milestone in his coaching career.
Originally from Rangpur district in Bangladesh, ATM Rakibul Bassar grew up immersed in cricket. He was a regular face in school-level cricket and also played First Division cricket in Rangpur, gaining valuable competitive experience from an early age.
To strengthen his professional credentials, he has completed multiple cricket coaching courses under the Australian Cricket Board framework. Recently, he further expanded his expertise by successfully completing a Junior Umpiring Course, reflecting his comprehensive understanding of the game from both coaching and officiating perspectives.
Alongside cricket, journalism has long been his primary profession. He has worked with several leading media outlets in Bangladesh. He is the Editor and Publisher of the Dhaka-based national daily Dainik Mot Prokash. In addition, he serves as the Editor of the English-language newspaper The Bangla Sun and holds the position of Business Development Advisor and Online Editor at Radio Dhwani 91.2 FM, the country’s only news-based FM radio station.
By combining his extensive background in journalism with his growing qualifications in cricket coaching, ATM Rakibul Bassar has chosen to pursue coaching as a long-term career path. Through continuous professional development and international exposure, he aspires to make meaningful contributions to the global cricketing arena.
