A lawsuit has been filed against the authorities concerned for the alleged “deaths by negligence” of six newborns at the Ad-Din Hospital in the capital.
A family of one of the deceased child filed the case, said Sheikh Jahidul Islam, deputy commissioner at Ramna Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
Earlier in the day, the six newborns died at the post-delivery ward of the hospital. The relatives alleged that the deaths were caused by misnagement and the the air conditioning system being turned off.
