Home and Agriculture Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today said there is no militant activity in the country now.
“With your cooperation, we have rooted out militancy from the country,” he said at a press briefing after visiting the Export Cargo Village and a cold storage of Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation (BADC) at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here this morning.
The adviser also said that the media and the law and order forces have played an important role in rooting out the militancy and there was no significant activity of militant outfits in the country during the last 10 months.
