Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Barrister Gias Uddin Rimon conducted surprise inspections of two printing presses in Tejgaon tonight to assess the quality and progress of printing free textbooks for the 2027 academic year.

During the visits, he inspected paper quality, printing standards, cutting, binding and the overall process of supplying textbooks to the upazila level.

He instructed the authorities to complete the printing work within the stipulated deadline to ensure students receive their new textbooks on time, stressing the need to maintain the required quality standards.

Confirming the visits, Gias Uddin said the government is working under the prime minister’s instructions to ensure that textbooks reach students across the country within the deadline.

Earlier in the afternoon, he held a review meeting with Education Ministry Senior Secretary Abdul Khaleque at the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) office in Motijheel to discuss the overall progress of textbook printing.

Gias Uddin is the prime minister’s special assistant for the ministries of Civil Aviation and Tourism and Primary and Mass Education.
