Popular singer, actor and television personality Tahsan Khan is set to make his return to the spotlight as a host after taking a break from acting and announcing his retirement from releasing new songs. He will host “Voice of Bangladesh,” the national competition that will select the country’s representative for Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026.
Joining the competition as judges are five prominent figures from Bangladesh’s music industry—Fahmida Nabi, Hamin Ahmed, Bappa Majumder, Shouquat Ali Imon and Ankhi Alamgir.
The Eurovision Song Contest, organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) since 1956, is one of the world’s most prestigious and longest-running live music competitions. This marks the first time Bangladesh will officially participate in Eurovision Song Contest Asia.
“Voice of Bangladesh” has been launched to identify the country’s representative for the regional contest. Following the preliminary rounds, the top 12 contestants are currently undergoing a special grooming programme ahead of the grand finale, scheduled for September 30, where Bangladesh’s representative will be chosen.
The winner will go on to represent Bangladesh at Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, on 14 November. Other participating countries include South Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Nepal, Bhutan, Cambodia and Laos.
The competition’s episodes, including the grand finale, will be streamed on OTT platform Bongo and televised on NTV.
