BNP Acting Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has expressed profound shock and sorrow over the death of eminent journalist and bdnews24.com Editor-in-Chief Toufique Imrose Khalidi.
In a condolence message issued on Friday, Rizvi prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his deepest condolences to Khalidi’s bereaved family, admirers and well-wishers.
“I am deeply saddened by the death of Toufique Imrose Khalidi,” Rizvi said.
He said Khalidi, while serving as editor-in-chief of bdnews24.com, remained an uncompromising, honest and dedicated journalist.
“In carrying out his professional responsibilities as a journalist, Khalidi was always fearless and unwavering,” he added.
Khalidi died of a brain haemorrhage at a hospital in London on Friday at the age of 59.
