A man and his minor daughter were killed, while his wife was injured when an unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle on the Bogura-Dhaka highway at Banani in Shahjahanpur upazila of Bogura district on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Anisur Rahman, son of Ershad Ali, and his two-year-old daughter Puspo, of Sujanagar upazila in Pabna district.
The accident occurred around 7:30am when an unidentified vehicle hit the motorcycle from behind, leaving Anisur and Puspo dead on the spot and injuring Ayesha Begum, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shahjahanpur Police Station Ashiq Iqbal.
The injured woman was taken to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
“Efforts are underway to identify the vehicle and its driver,” the OC said.
