The ‘Super Sale Car Bazar’ at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital has extended its operating hours by one hour amid strong interest from buyers and sellers.
The weekly car market, organised jointly by Wizard Showbiz and ICCB, is held every Friday. Following the strong response during its first four weeks, the event entered its fifth week on Friday with an expanded range of vehicles and a new addition of imported cars from Asian Imports.
The market, which previously ran from 10am to 7pm, will now remain open until 8pm due to growing interest from buyers and sellers.
The organisers said the market is attracting increasing numbers of visitors as it offers an opportunity to view and buy new, reconditioned and used cars at a single venue.
Upon entering the Super Sale Car Market, visitors can see rows of vehicles displayed across the venue. New cars are displayed in one section, reconditioned cars in another, while used vehicles are displayed on the opposite side.
Many of the used cars were previously owned for personal use. Their owners have brought them to the market as they plan to sell their old vehicles and purchase new ones.
The market initially started with 127 cars, while the number of vehicles increased to around 360 in its fifth week.
During a visit to the market on Friday, buyers were seen gathering information about new cars and inspecting various aspects of used vehicles. Many were comparing different models, prices and features before making their purchase decisions.
Cars priced from Tk6.5 lakh to nearly Tk3.5 crore were on display at the market. Sellers were also offering various deals and incentives to attract buyers.
Officials of Asian Imports said new electric vehicles (EVs) had been brought to the market this week based on buyers’ preferences and demand. Both Japanese and Chinese EVs are available, along with reconditioned vehicles.
Mehedi Hasan Molla, brand and marketing manager of ICCB, said the market had received a strong response during its first four weeks.
“After successfully organising the event for the past four weeks, we are now in the fifth week. We have already received a strong response. More than 350 cars arrived yesterday. As the response from buyers and sellers has been higher than in the previous four weeks, we have extended the market’s operating hours by one hour, until 8pm,” he said.
